NC, BJP workers clash after Amit Shah visits border camps following ceasefire violations
The BJP chief had arrived in Jammu on Sunday in a bid to consolidate and strengthen the party's position in the state where Assembly elections are slated for later this year.

Jammu: Clashes broke out between workers of the ruling National Conference and Bharatiya Janata Party after the latter's chief Amit Shah visited RS Pura sector in Jammu on Monday morning.

Shah and BJP spokesperson Ram Madhav visited border camps in the morning following repeated ceasefire violation by the Pakistani Army. Clashes between NC and BJP workers soon followed.

"BJP recognizes the problems of ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the border, and will act on it," said Shah as he met villagers and soldiers posted along the Line of Control in RS Pura.
