Mumbai: The National Commission for Women will look into 'item girl' Rakhi Sawant's charges of sexual assault against pop singer Mika.
Rakhi will be meeting the Commission Chairperson Girija Vyas on Monday.
The commission had said earlier that the media reports and the videos of the incident suggested sexual assault by Mika.
The commission has also asked for a report from the Mumbai Police over the action it has taken on the FIR lodged by Rakhi. Rakhi alleges that Mika assaulted her during his birthday party on June 10.
However, an additional sessions court in Mumbai had granted anticipatory bail to Mika on Saturday.
But Rakhi has alleged that immediately after Mika got anticipatory bail, she started receiving threatening calls and SMSs.
Rakhi alleged that the caller has threatened to "fix" her for filing a case against Mika.
"I have informed the police on the latest development and am concerned about my safety now," she added.
Police sources confirmed that Rakhi had informed them about threatening calls and the matter was being investigated.
