Netaji's family meets Narendra Modi, asks for declassification of Subhash Chandra Bose's files
This meeting comes in the backdrop of the unending mystery over Netaji's death in a plane crash in 1945. Last month, the West Bengal government had declassified 64 files pertaining to the freedom fighter.

New Delhi: The family of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at this residence in the capital on Wednesday. Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Rajnath Singh were also present in the meeting.

Netaji's family presented a unique gift to PM Modi, a designer jacket with the silhouette of Netaji's profile printed on it. Netaji's family asked the Prime Minister to declassify all the files related to him that are with the Centre.

This meeting comes in the backdrop of the unending mystery over Netaji's death in a plane crash in 1945. Last month, the West Bengal government had declassified 64 files pertaining to the freedom fighter.

However, Krishna Bose, widow of Netaji's nephew, said she had met survivors from the crash and there is no conspiracy.
