THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the objective of promoting young talents and also for finding for them a niche in the new media, a webzine - www.outre.in - was launched by Shashi Tharoor MP at a function in his office the other day. ‘Outre’ is a digital publishing inbplatform itiated y Sanfeer K, a second year BSc student at University College here who hails from Wayanad district, with the support of his friend Abhijit, second year student BSc student at the same college. The first issue of the webzine carries a variety of literary articles and write-ups on various themes such as travel, books, cinema, culture and movies, apart from focusing on the subject of ‘dreams.’ The digital magazine is now connected with www.teachingcafe.ning.com, a web-based community of teachers and students from across the world jointly founded by Prof Anna Vigliotti of the State College Florida, the US, and K P Jaikiran of the University College, Thiruvananthapuram. The next issue of the ‘Outre’ would feature special articles written by students from the US.
