Patna: State puts hold on school buses older by 15 years or more

The state government has ordered hold on school buses older by 15 years or more. The decision was taken as a part to reduce pollution level in the state capital. The aim of decision is to weed out old, polluting school buses, running without permits, insurance or fitness certificates. Motor vehicle Inspector further added that so far nearly 25 school buses have been checked and notice have been sent to principals regarding this issue.

Patna: 8-day exhibition on printed pictures and paintings

“Kalpavriksha”, an eight-day exhibition of printed pictures and paintings began at the multi-purpose cultural complex in the state capital on Saturday. The event is organized jointly by the cultural department and building construction corporation. The event included exhibits on Panthapakar, the site of century old peepal tree near Sitamarhi and Koteshwardham temple near Gaya.

Patna: City women celebrates “Shrawan” month

The Lions Club of Patna Priyadarshini Diva organised a function celebrating the “Shrawan” month. Several programmes were held including fashion show for kids. Women danced sand and enjoyed the function. Apart from this, the club members adopted a 12-year-old girl and offered to sponsor her education expenses.
