A new-born girl was found abandoned in a compartment of Rajya Rani Express. The girl was found during night hours when the train reached Damoh station. The passengers informed the GRP after noticing the baby lying in the coach. The GRP admitted the girl at district hospital where her condition is stated to be normal.

Indore: IIM to conduct 5-day course for doctors

The Indian Institute of Management will conduct a five-day course for the doctors under its Management Development Programme. The course aims at sharing the vision of the healthcare sector and imparts skills to improve management in hospitals. Medical, para-medical and non-medical managerial professions involved in hospital administration can participate in the course.

Ujjain: Seven nurses transferred from govt hospital for taking bribe

Seven nurses and three mid-wives of a district hospital have been transferred following corruption charges against them. All of them were working with the labour room of the hospital. The nurses and mid-wives demanded Rs 600 to Rs 1,000 as bribe from pregnant patients.

Dewas: 14-year-old girl critically injured after hyena attack

A 14-year-old girl was critically injured after a hyena attacked her along with five people. The hyena, from the Punjapara forest range attacked the residents when they were passing near the reserve. The girl has been referred to Indore for treatment. The forest officer said that a compensation of Rs 1,000 will be given to the injured.

The Axis Bank will be visiting the Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhyalaya (DAVV) for placement on August 3. The bank officials will visit the campus to recruit the students from marketing management and finance stream. The shortlisted candidates will appear in aptitude test followed by the personnel interview.

The fresh batch of BTech attended the orientation programme held at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) on Monday. Classes will begin from Tuesday. The director of the institute addressed the students about the engineering ethics and culture. However, the admission in MANIT and other NITs will continue till July 31.

The district will have India’s second National Dinosaur Fossil Park. The construction work for the park has already commenced. The Indore Forest Department during a workshop on the dinosaur fossil national park held on Sunday announced the launching of the park. The forest department has received a grant of Rs 3.5 crore in the financial commission for the construction of the park.

Indore: DAVV to hold third counselling round

Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya will be holding the third round of Common Entrance Test from August 7 to fill up the remaining seats. Both CET and non CET candidates are eligible to participate in the third round of counselling. According to the officials, seats are vacant in MBA, M.Com and Bachelors of Journalism.
