NIT student falls to death

KOZHIKODE: Aashiq Siayadidhuin, 21, an Electrical Engineering student of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), died after falling from the second floor of the electrical engineering department on Friday.He hailed from Manakkad in Thiruvanthapuram district.NIT officials have said that the deceased was undergoing treatment for depression at a private hospital in the city for the past one year.According to the Kunnamangalam police, the incident occurred at 8.30 am when the day’s classes were going on in the institute.Police have done the inquest and the body was handed over to the relatives after postmortem examination at the Kozhikode Medical college.
