HYDERABAD: Minister for municipal administration and urban development M Maheedhar Reddy on Tuesday said work on the Godavari drinking water supply scheme to Greater Hyderabad would be speeded up and added that there was no paucity of funds for the scheme.He said the state government was keen to take up Phase III of the Krishna drinking water supply project as the demand for drinking water was ever increasing. The minister on Tuesday inspected the work sites of 'Godavari drinking water supply project Phase I at Medinapur near Pragnapur in Siddipet and a water treatment plant (WTP) at Mallaram. HMWS SB managing director M.Jagadeeswar, ENC and director (Projects) M Satyanarayana were among those who accompanied the minister.The minister assured to release funds for land acquisition for the project in Medak and Karimnagar.
