New Delhi: There are reports that North Korea may agree to freeze one of its key nuclear facilities and give international inspectors limited access, at the six-nation nuclear disarmament talks scheduled to start on Thursday in Beijing.
According to reports Pyongyang will also demand it be taken off Washington's list of states sponsoring terrorism, in exchange for crude oil and relaxation of US economic sanctions.
This comes after US State Department official Joel Wit, held meetings with chief North Korean arms negotiator Kim Kye Gwan and other senior officials in Pyongyang a few days ago.
The international arms talks have made little headway since a 2005 accord in which North Korea pledged to disarm in exchange for aid and security guarantees.
