Chandigarh: On the directions of Election Observer Ajai Shankar Pandey, notice for violation of Model Code Of Conduct has been issued to Bollywood veteran Sharmila Tagore and her son Saif Ali Khan by the Returning officer-cum-SDM of Pataudi, Virender Chaudhary. They have been accused of using loud speaker and organising cocktail party in Pataudi Mahal without obtaining permission from competent authority.
"We got complaints from nearby residents mentioning that firecrackers and loud speakers were being used in the premises of the Pataudi palace which were disturbing them. On the basis of these complaints, we have issued notice to them under violation of Pollution Act," SDM said.

They have been accused of using the loudspeaker, DJ and organising a "cocktail party" in Pataudi Palace last evening allegedly without obtaining specific permission from the competent authority, the Haryana Government release said.
They have been charged with not obtaining licence for the bar for yesterday's party, it said. The duo has been asked to explain their conduct by 3 pm on October 21.
The release said that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Model Code of Conduct is applicable in Haryana up to October 22, 2014.
Haryana went to polls on October 15 and votes would be counted on Sunday.
