Two men, arrested for allegedly helping friends of NRI student Anmol Sarna get the drugs consumed during a party here after which the 21-year-old student died, were on Saturday granted bail by a Delhi court.
Metropolitan Magistrate Deepak Wason granted bail to Bhuwan Sharma and Nehul arrested in connection with the supply of drugs.
The court asked them to furnish a personal bond of Rs 25,000 each with one surety of same amount.
The two were granted bail after police failed to show recovery of drugs from their possession, as claimed earlier.
The court pulled police saying that instead of investigating the death of Sarna, they seemed more interested in probing the supply of drugs.
It can be done as a parallel case but the death probe was necessary at this stage, the judge said.
The court also remanded Dushyant Lamba, who was also arrested along with Bhuwan and Nehul on Friday from Noida bordering Delhi, to two days judicial custody after police did not seek his custody.
Police have arrested nine people in connection with Sarna's death and consumption and supply of drugs.
Sarna, who completed his high school from New York, was to return to Canada for further studies but died after a drug party on September 13 night organised at his friend's flat in South Park Apartments in south Delhi.
Police said the party attended by Sarna lasted till midnight after which he was allegedly thrashed by the guards of the apartments for creating a ruckus in the complex. Around 2 am, Sarna was found bleeding at the apartment complex. He died in hospital.
Police have booked the two guards Surender Bali, 40, and Naresh Mishra, 60, posted at for assaulting Sarna, whereas his four friends have been booked for drug abuse.
Investigators said Anmol and his friends -- Shivang Ganbhir, Madhav Bhandari, Rhythm Girhotra and Pranil Shah, all in their early 20s, consumed psychedelic drug LSD in Shah's bedroom.
Sarna's friends and the two guards are lodged in Tihar Jail till September 30.
