BHUBANESWAR: The Capital Police on Friday arrested an accused in connection with Phalikia Bazaar murder case last year. He is the seventh and the last accused to be arrested. The accused, identified as K Shankari, belongs to Tekkali village of Srikakulam district in Andhra. Shankari along with six others had allegedly murdered an auto driver at Phalikia Bazaar along Rajmahal-Kalpana road on June 15, 2011. The police were keeping tabs on Shankari for the past few months.WORKER FALLS TO DEATH: A worker, engaged in colouring of SBI main branch here, died on Friday after falling from a height. The victim, identified as Nilakanta Sahoo (34), was white-washing the building. The circumstances leading to his death are yet to be ascertained. He was residing in Kalpana area here. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for postmortem.
