New Delhi: In the wake of pre dawn terror strike at Pathankot Air Force Station, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an urgent security meeting with the top officials and the concerned ministries on Saturday.
Sources said, the Prime Minister has asked them to make elaborate security arrangements across the country - in coordination with the state governments - to prevent any such incidents.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) also issued directions for the deployment of two army columns and special force team at Pathankot to assist the local security agencies, which includes officials from the home ministry, NSA, Defence etc.
Meanwhile, soon after the NIA team reaches the Air Force Station around 11.30 am, couple of grenade explosions heard from the premises.
So far four terrorists were gunned down and four jawans martyred in the incident. The combing operations are still going on to nab one of the terrorists who is suspected to hiding inside the camp.
