PREVIEW: Mummy and Me
PREVIEW: Mummy and Me
The film revolves around the present family system

Mummy and Me is the story of Jewel (Archana Kavi) the daughter of Joseph (Mukesh) and Clara (Urivashi). The film revolves around the happenings in the present family system. In fact, this is one modern day story of a family whose interests lie clearly in their nuclear lot and not the joint family.

Enter Rahul (Kunjako Boban) who plays Jewel's love interest and is the lone child of Thomachan (Lalu Alex) and Mary (Shari). The film is not a biased view of the family system and fails to take sides.

What makes this film a must watch is Kunjchacko in a different persona, afresh from the success his comeback film Gulumaal. Archana Kavi is in her second powerful role after facing the arclight in her much appreciated role in Neelatamara, a story aimed at bridging the gap between parents and children and the free flow music by Sajo Jose.

It's a subtle, clean, comedy and not brash. And though the storyline touches the often told generation next bridging gaps with the nuclear generation, it prefers to be different with the issues tackled and the narration. So this summer get set for a youth driven fresh feel film from Jithu Joseph.

Anoop Menon, Sudheesh, Janardhanan, Jeevan and Arun also are a part of the cast.

Director Jithu Joseph's second film after Dectective with Suresh Gopi in the lead. The story screenplay and dialogues are also penned by the director himself.

The film is produced by Joy Thomas under the banner Jithin Arts who also produced the block buster comedy with Mohanlal titled Halo.

Lyrics: Vayalar Sharat Chandra Varma; Cinematography: Vipin Mohan; Editing: V Sajan; Art Direction: Sabu Ram; Costume: S B Satheeshan.
