THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) will launch Online one-time registration from Wednesday. PSC chairman K S Radhakrishnan said here on Tuesday that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy would inaugurate the programme at 1 p.m. K Muralidharan MLA and PSC member K N Mohanan Nambiar would offer felicitations.With the implementation of one-time registration, candidates need to register their profile only once and the qualification they acquire in future could be updated later. Responding to the PSC notifications, the candidates could apply through their profile.The service is made available through the free software (Thulasi ver 1.0)developed by the PSC staff.PSC Releases 556 Lists in 2011The chairman said that the PSC had released 556 rank lists containing over 51,000 candidates during 2011. Advice memos were issued to 31,153 rank holders during the same period. From April, 2011 to March 2012, 192 examinations were held, he said.He said that the PSC could issue advice to 4,562 supernumerary posts up to December 2011. In 2010, appointments were made to 1,964 supernumerary posts.Radhakrishnan said that though 51,000 vacancies were reported in 2011, the PSC could issue advice memos for 31,153 posts only as the recruitment of KSRTC drivers was a time-consuming affair.
