Moga: The Punjab Police on Friday revealed the name of Moga gangrape survivor and even claimed that the girl was lying. A 23-year-old girl alleged that eight men gangraped her on Tuesday when she went to her friend's house with a male friend.
Inspector General of Punjab Police PS Umramangal took the girl's several times in his press conference.
The girl was allegedly raped by her friend's husband along with at least seven of his friends who were reportedly drunk.
The men then abandoned the girl outside the village. The victim has been hospitalised. The police have recorded the victim's statement and a case has been registered but no arrests have been made so far.
The incident comes a day after a minor girl in Moga died after being was thrown off a moving bus for protesting against eve-teasing. Four arrests have been made in the case.
