The Andhra Pradesh police on Tuesday arrested Babu Surendranath from Thrissur on charges of duping an Andhra native and running a clinic without proper qualification and medical skills, at Ayyanthole on Tuesday. Babu, who was running Sree Chitra Panjakarama Research Centre and Speciality Ayurvedic Hospital, duped Karimnagar native Sreedhar Babu to the tune of Rs 4.80 lakh.
A complaint was filed by Sreedhar Babu at Jammikunda police station on Sept 25 in this regard. Sreedhar had paid Rs 4.80 lakhs to treat his 6-year old daughter for cerebral palsy. However, he decided to discontinue the treatment after eight months as Babu began to torture the kid in the guise of treating her.
