A petty quarrel between two brothers over shoes in a locality in Hyderabad’s Telangana led to the murder of their nephew, who came to their house as a guest.
Rani and Saroja are siblings. Saroja’s daughter Martha was residing in Nizampet and was blessed with two daughters and a son Sangepogu Praveen Moses (20), who is working as a car driver, said the Madhura Nagar Police.
Praveen Moses went to his grandmother Rani’s house at Jawahar Nagar locality in Rahmath Nagar to get his mobile phone repaired on the night of February 4.
Praveen along with Rani’s elder son Abilash Alex went to repair phone at Erragadda.
Meanwhile Abishek Alex alias Bunni, brother of Abhilash Alex, went to sleep on the bed without removing shoes. Abhilash asked Bunni to please remove the shoes, this incident led to a quarrel between the brothers.
Praveen intervened and tried to convince the duo to stop the quarrel on a petty issue. Angry Abishek Alex went towards his nephew and stabbed him with a knife at the left side of his chest.
Praveen became unconscious after the attack. He was rushed to a private hospital in Ameerpet where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Praveen, who came to his grandmother’s house for the very purpose of getting his mobile phone repaired, was murdered due to the short temper of one of his maternal uncles.
