The Rajasthan government has introduced a new initiative under the Chief Minister Ayushman Jeevan Raksha Yojana to address the critical issue of timely medical intervention for road accident victims.
Individuals who take road accident victims to hospitals in time will receive a reward of Rs 10,000 and a citation. The scheme, funded by the Dedicated Road Safety Fund, aims to reduce fatalities by encouraging prompt medical care.
To benefit from the scheme, the person should voluntarily provide their personal details and identification at the hospital, where they will be documented by the Casualty Medical Officer.
The details required to take advantage of the scheme are name, age, gender, address, mobile number, identity card, bank account number, IFSC code and MLC number.
The person will be allowed to leave the hospital immediately as per their wish. If the accident victim is in serious condition, the reward and the citation will be issued to the person who delivers them to either government or private hospitals.
In cases of multiple individuals, the reward will be divided equally.
