Rama Jois book on Raja Dharma released

BANGALORE: ‘Raja Dharma With Lessons on Raja Neeti’, a book written by former Governor of Bihar and Rajya Sabha Member M Rama Jois was released in the city on Saturday. Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravishankar released the book at a  programme at the Art of Living Centre on Kanakapura Road. The book contains lessons on good governance.Speaking about the book,Rama Jois said, “I thought of writing this book after reading the lectures that Dewan Madhav Rao delivered to the Maharaja of Baroda. The lectures contain jewels of wisdom on how a ruler must run his kingdom. I decided that such knowledge must not be restricted to Baroda and must be heard throughout the country,” he added. “This book has special significance to me considering my position. I shall certainly read it and try to implement the teachings in the book,” Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda said. He praised the efforts of Rama Jois in putting together a  subject which is so vast.Sri Sri Ravishankar commented on the timing of the book and said that it came at an opportune moment in the history of the country. “People of a democracy are the masters. This message needs to be spread,” he said.
