The hosts lost the second match of the three-match Test series against Pakistan 3-1 in Chandigarh on Saturday.

Chandigarh: India faltered towards the end once again as Pakistan fired two goals in the last 10 minutes to beat the hosts 3-1 and register their second win on the trot in the six-match home-and-away hockey series on Saturday evening.

It was mercurial forward Butt who did India in with a brilliant brace.

Butt drew the first blood in the 41st minute and completed the kill in 69th to put Pakistan on top after two games of the Indian leg.

Tariq Aziz, who deflected in a free hit taken by Dilawar Hussain from the 25-yard area in the 60th min also joined the party.

This was after right fullback Sandeep Singh drew parity for India with a nicely executed penalty corner with a sizzling drag flick in the 44th minute.

Pakistan fullback Imran Warsi, who stood like a rock in defence to thwart the Indian moves, was declared the man of the match.

Thrilled with the victory, Pakistan captain Mohammad Saqlain gave full credit to his players for playing attacking and purposeful hockey against the arch rivals.
