THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Renovation works of Killipalam-Attakulangara-Chala bypass road will start from November under the government’s upgradation scheme. The renovation works will be carried out using the latest BM&BC technology which is expected to cost Rs 1 crore, Transport Minister V S Sivakumar has said. In a statement, he said that damaged roads in the Corporation limits would be included in a special project and Rs 42.5 crore would be allocated to complete the renovation works. Roads in 100 Corporation wards would be renovated under this project. The roads which are linked with any major road or with any PWD road will be renovated with a minimum width of 3.75 metres. To chart out a final list of the roads that should be included under the project, a meeting of the councillors would be held at Thycad PWD Rest house on Friday at 3 p m. Another meeting of the elected representatives, mediapersons and apex body members of residents’ associations would be held on the same day at Thycad guest house at 4 p m to discuss the developmental activities for the city.
