Warsaw: A bank robber who stole about $1,000 at knife-point turns out to have been a priest, prosecutors said on Tuesday.

The robber, whose name was withheld by Polish law, was detained shortly after the attack and identified himself as a priest, prosecutors told PAP.

Prosecutors confirmed that he was a vicar who previously worked in Bialogard, in northern Poland.
