New Delhi: Sania Mirza's erratic performance since her return to top-flight tennis has again got her down four places to No. 46 in the latest WTA rankings released on Monday.
Sania, 20, had earlier slipped out of the top-50 while she was on a lay-off, but returned strongly to break into the top-50. But after losing in the first round at Birmingham last week, she dropped four places yet again.
In the men's doubles, India's Leander Paes one spot to No. 9 in the individual rankings after losing in the semi-final of the Garry Webber Open in Germany along with Czech partner Martin Damm.
Mahesh Bhupathi, on the other hand, remained a non-mover in the individual doubles category, remaining at No. 20 after crashing out of the Stella Artois Championship at Queen's.
