Hisar: The Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Commission will look into the Hisar gangrape case in which the victim's father had committed suicide. Only two arrests have been made in the case in two weeks. The second arrest in the case of the Dalit family was made on Monday.
Even as Hisar has seen numerous protests over the police inaction, six other accused are still absconding. A 16-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by eight 'upper caste' men on September 9.
The victim's distraught father committed suicide. Her mother now wants the remaining suspects to be arrested.
The victim's family claims that the police and administration put pressure on them to say they were satisfied with the investigation on camera but they refused. The district administration, however, denied the allegations.
They have now promised all assistance to the victim's family including a government job.
