BANGALORE: The High Court on Monday granted a six-week stay on the proceedings in a special court trying the disproportionate assets case against TN CM J Jayalalithaa and her close aide and co-accused Sasikala Natarajan.The petitioner, Sasikala, had filed an interlocutory application on December 8 seeking direction to the interpreter to keep a translated version of the questions framed by the court in Tamil, record the answers in Tamil and then translate it back into English. Hearing the petition, a single bench comprising Justice B V Pinto issued the stay order.The special court earlier rejected Sasikala’s interlocutory plea; she filed a filed a petition in HC on December 16, seeking translated versions of questions framed by the court in Tamil.
