Sohrabuddin Sheikh's brother, 5 others arrested in MP, several arms recovered

Bhopal: Slain gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh's brother Shahnawazuddin and five others were arrested in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district. Police recovered several arms from their possession - including rifles and cartridges.

Police have registered case for possessing illegal arms, trespassing and fraud against the group.

The accused will be produced before the court on Tuesday.

Sohrabuddin, a gangster who the Gujarat police claimed had links with Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba, and his wife Kausar Bi were allegedly abducted by Gujarat anti-terrorism squad from Hyderabad. Shaikh was killed in an alleged fake encounter near Narol-Vishala crossroad here in November 2005 and his wife too is believed to have been killed.
