A government spokesman said that the then SP of Barabanki district, Suresh Rao Anand Kulkarni, has been suspended for laxity in duty for not taking proper action on a complaint in the murder case.
The officer has been attached to DGP headquarters. Arvind, an office bearer of Mulayam Singh Yadav Youth Brigade, was shot dead on January 15 by unidentified persons, police said.
