Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan on Saturday inspected various government offices in Jhansi and Chitrakoot divisions and ordered action against 17 lax employees.
Ranjan, who arrived in Jhansi alongwith his team this morning, inspected district hospital, a medical college and two police stations, while secretary-level officials in his team visited different villages to review the progress of ongoing development works, an official release said.
During the inspections, orders were issued to initiate actions, including suspension, transfer and departmental action, against 17 employees found lax in the discharge of their duties, it said. The officials against whom action would be initiated include Registrar of Jhansi Sadar Pannalal, Junior Engineer Arvind Soni and Executive Engineer of Jalaun Nagarpalika P K Chaudary, it added.
