Chhattisgarh is expected to grow at 7.05 per cent in 2013-14 fiscal, the state economic survey tabled in the assembly on Friday said.
As per the survey, the state's per capita income is likely to attain the level of Rs 56,990 in 2013-14.
Chief Minister Raman Singh, who also hold finance portfolio, tabled the economic survey year 2013-14' of Chhattisgarh in the Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly).
"As per advance estimate, the Gross State Domestic Product at constant price is likely to grow at 7.05 per cent in 2013-14 over the previous year," the report said.
The growth in agriculture sector (agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishing), industry sector (secondary sector and mining sector) and service sector are expected to be 2.62 per cent, 6.07 per cent and 10.18 per cent respectively, over the previous year, the report added.
As per the advance estimate, the gross domestic product at current price is likely to increase to Rs 1,75,961 crore in 2013-14 from Rs 1,53,621 crore as estimated for 2012-13.
During the same period, agriculture sector is expected to increase from Rs 34,097 crore to 36,841 crore, industry sector from Rs 57,306 crore to Rs 64,864 crore and service sector from Rs 62,217 crore to Rs 74,256 crore.
As per the first revised estimates (Quick Estimates) for the year 2012-13 at constant price, the GSDP registered a growth of 7.56 per cent over the previous year 2011-12.
Primary Sector (including agriculture, live stock, forestry, fishing and mining), secondary sector (construction, manufacturing and electricity, gas ~~amp;amp; water supply) and tertiary sector (service sector) are estimated to grow at the rate of 5.97 per cent, 7.09 per cent and 9.09 per cent respectively in comparison to 2011-12, the report said.
In the same way, agriculture sector has registered growth of 8.89 per cent, industry sector has grown at 5.38 per cent over 2011-12, it added.
The per capita income in 2011-12, at current prices was Rs 44,505, which has gone up to Rs 50,691 in 2012-13 as per quick estimates. It is further likely to attain the level of Rs 56,990 during 2013-14, the report said.
