Struggle is a part of acting profession: Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub
Zeeshan says he was without work for eight months before 'Raanjhanaa' came to him.

New Delhi: Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's breakout performance in 'Raanjhanaa' has garnered him widespread praise but the actor says he was without work for eight months before the Anand L Rai film came to him.

Ayyub played the wisecracking but supportive friend Murari to Dhanush's loverboy character Kundan in the Banaras-set love-story.

The actor made his debut with a negative role in 2011 'No One Killed Jessica' and followed it up with 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and 'Jannat 2' but it was 'Raanjhanaa' that brought him popular acclaim.

But Ayyub is not bitter about his struggle days as he believes it is part of every actor's life.

"There are bad patches when you don't have any work. I was sitting at home for eight months before I got 'Raanjhanaa' but I think that's part of our profession and we have opted for it. I had a choice to do something else but I chose acting. There is struggle in this profession and it is part of the fun," he said.

Acting was not part of Ayyub's growing up dreams. He became interested in it during his college days in Delhi.

"I was never into acting or theatre during my school days. I started doing plays when I came to college even then I did not have a dream to become a Bollywood actor. I just wanted to be an actor. Things evolved from there," said Ayyub, who was in the city as part of the judging panel of Jungle Book Jive

auditions.

An adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's much-celebrated stories, the live show by Fever Entertainment will take place from August 7 to 11 in the capital.

Ayyub, who will next be seen playing an important role in Hansal Mehta's 'Shahid', said he enjoyed interacting with children during the auditions.
