Sumit Awasthi, one of Hindi journalism's best known names and a credible face of television, is back with Network18's Hindi news channel IBN7. Sumit Awasthi has joined IBN7 as Deputy Managing Editor and it is his second innings with IBN7.

One of the most respected journalists; he has worked with some of the leading news brands in the country anchoring some of the most watched shows in the Hindi News genre. His major forte has been in the realm of political reportage, but he has also extensively covered cricket and international affairs.

He joined IBN7 in August and immediately left a mark with a special show on 100 days of Narendra Modi government.

He is the recipient of NT Awards 2012 for Best Anchor and Madhavji Jyoti Puraskar for Best Journalist.
