Hyderabad: Police claim to have nabbed an ISI agent in Hyderabad.
Police say Billah was arrested following leads provided by a terror suspect in Karnataka.
They say he was named by Raziuddin Naser, who was arrested in Karnataka in January in connection with a plot to carry out terror strikes in Goa and Hyderabad.
Some sensitive documents and CDs have apparently been seized from Billah. He's also been booked for two cases filed in late 2004.
But Billah's family denies the charges. A group led by his sister protested at the Saidabad police station after the arrest last night.
Police though insist they have enough evidence against the suspect
Hyderabad Police Commissioner, D Prasada Rao says, "Billah was the person who helped Naser go underground and helped hide him after the twin blasts in Hyderabad. He is involved in Jihadi activities."
Meanwhile, Billah's father says that whatever the police has been doing is wrong.
"They did not tell us that they are policemen. We found out later. Whatever it is, they did not follow proper procedures during the arrest."
