The show would start with two shows a day June 6-10 at Singapore's Esplanade Theater.

Singapore: 'Taj Express', a Bollywood musical extravaganza, will add traditional and folk dance as well as music from the north eastern Indian states in future shows, its organizers said. "We will add north eastern states' traditional and folk dances and music in future shows," said Vaibhavi Merchant,

director of choreography of 'Taj Express' which would hold its international premier in Singapore on June 6.

Vaibhai said that it is important to highlight the cultures of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

The current show would feature northern Indian dances featuring a modern day love story with scenic background from Mumbai to Agra.

'Taj Express' producer and director Shruti Merchant has set a target of hosting 1,000 shows around the world in five years. But she also harbours ambition of hosting 5,000 shows of the extravaganza featuring 2,000 costumes, 1,500 accessories and 42 artists.

It would start with two shows a day June 6-10 at Singapore's Esplanade Theater.

Addressing a press conference at the show preview for Singapore media, the Merchant sisters said they have received calls to host the show in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Australia was also on their roadmap for the two-hour musical show, the first extravaganza out of Bollywood for the global market promoting Indian tourism and culture. The show's music is by Monty Sharma.
