Take action against BBMP staff: JD(S)

BANGALORE: The JD(S) leader in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Padmanabha Reddy has demanded strict action against the second division clerk A Anandamurthy and ADDP, Townplanning Division, Bommanahalli, for alleged mismanagement of funds in the Palike.He explained, how over a period of 11 months, plan sanction money amounting to `57,91,176 has been mismanaged.Further, he alleged that the same receipts were used for two plans and were unaccounted for in bank passbooks.He also said that Anandamurthy acknowledged this fraud and even wrote a letter to the Palike, but none of the senior officials have taken any action.Reddy said, “A criminal case must be filed against the two persons responsible for this fraud and strict action must be taken against those officials who have overlooked this case.”
