HYDERABAD: Want your child to see cartoons, more India-specific? Here comes “Soori and Poori”, two Indian characters, which will be aired on POGO. These characters were designed to create laughter & action based entertainment for children within the age group of 4-11. The tales of Soori-Poori will revolve around their adventures of daily urban life. The characters will be available in live action content through cinema and TV shows targeted at children in the age group of 6-12. Soori-Poori will also be developed into 2D and 3D animation characters besides interactive gaming animation in the second phase of development. Talking about the production and development of these characters, he said, “The development of characters was passed through a market research at every critical step. In creation of characters, it is not only their physical attributes but also their mental & emotional framework, their mannerisms and value systems form a critical component.” The company is making 13 episodes of live action serial for TV with each episode costing about Rs 10 lakh, Reddy said adding the company had tied up with investors for the project. The serial would be launched during the October festive season.
