BANGALORE: A 40-year-old government school teacher allegedly died after he fell from the 3rd floor of a private hospital here in the wee hours of Tuesday.The deceased has been identified as Laksmaiah, a native of Dasanapura of Nelamangala Taluk who was working a government school teacher at Tattekere. Due to various disorders, he was admitted to a private hospital on West of Chord Road on December 23.He was said to be accompanied by his wife Sharadamma in the hospital.After being treated vigorously at the ICU, Laksmaiah was said to be shifted to the general ward on the 2nd floor and the doctors had advised his wife to keep an eye on him, the police said.In her complaint, Sharadamma stated that her husband asked for water in the wee hours of Tuesday morning and left for a walk on third floor of the hospital at about 5 am.When the duty nurse came to check the patient, Sharadamma found that her husband was missing.When they searched, they found Laksmaiah’s body at about 10.30 am, lying in a pool of blood in a compound adjacent to the hospital, the police, who have booked a unnatural death case based on the complaint of Sharadamma, said.The police suspect that he might have accidentally fallen from the building. Further investigations are on.
