Suresh Medishetty (30), a techie belonging to Karimnagar, who became brain-dead after jumping into a swimming pool in Greenville, South Carolina, USA, on July 17 died late on Saturday night. Doctors of the St.Francis Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment, declared him dead. The victim’s organs were donated to the hospital by his family members. He is survived by wife, Surekha, and a son Atulith (4). Suresh jumped into the pool along with his son Atulith on his apartment premises in Greenville. The Telugu Association of Greater Greenville (TAGG) is making arrangements to send the body to Karimnagar.
“Suresh died on Saturday while undergoing treatment. We applied for approvals to shift the body to Karimnagar and TAGG is assisting Suresh’s family. Within 2-3 days, the body will arrive at Shamshabad airport. Surekha and Atulith will also fly back to India,’’ said Surendra Katta, a close friend of Suresh.
