HYDERABAD: Bandhs are back in Telangana.Telangana groups have decided to shut down the region on Tuesday to mourn the suicide of two young men in Warangal in the last three days. However, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has decided spare the SSC examinations from the bandh. The examinations will be allowed to be held as usual and buses transporting students to examination centres will not be disrupted. With the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) getting down to preparing for the bandh, a group of TRS legislators left for Warangal to commiserate with the family of Rajamouli who set himself on fire in Hanmakonda, purportedly for the cause of a separate state. In the Assembly, the TRS and TDP stalled proceedings, demanding a discussion on the suicides and the lack of a response form the state government and Centre. In Delhi, TRS MPs led by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Congress MPs stalled proceedings in the Lok Sabha, forcing the speaker to adjourn the house.Speaking to mediapersons later, Chandrasekhar Rao criticised the Prime Minister for remaining unmoved by the suicides.“How long do the Congress leaders want to keep the Telangana demand in cold storage? IF they do not want to deliver Telangana, let them say so,” he said.In the Rajya Sabha, Congress MP K Keshava Rao, due to retire on April 2, spoke up on the Telangana demand. He wanted to know how many more youths would have to die before the Congress will take a stance on Telangana.“Government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy and information minister D K Aruna have issued statements that would damage the party in Telangana,” the MPs said
