BHUBANESWAR: City police on Tuesday cracked the murder mystery of 17-year-old Chandramani Dora, a resident of Laxmi Nagar basti of Salia Sahi slums.The police have arrested Santosh Reddy. Reddy and his wife were tenants of Chandramani. Reddy, a native of Ganjam district, killed Chandramani suspecting the latter of having an illicit relationship with his wife, the Deputy Commissioner of Police Nitinjit Singh told mediapersons.Police suspected Reddy as he and Chandramani were last seen at a cultural programme. The duo went to watch ‘Pala’ in Nayapali area on Sunday evening. However, Chandramani did not return home that night.The body of the deceased, a Plus Two student of Biju Patnaik College, was found in a half-built house, barely 50 metres from his home.Youth Dies in MishapA youth of Bomikhal area died on Tuesday after being hit by a passenger bus near Laxmisagar. The deceased, identified as Rajput Ray, was going on a motorcycle with a friend Rasmiranjan Sahu.Ray died on the spot while his friend escaped hurt. There was commotion for a while as people tried to block the road. Laxmisagar Police rushed to the spot and pacified the irate people. The body was sent for post-mortem.
