BANGALORE: Overflow clearedIn reference to the report published by City Express on September 7 titled ‘Facelift for the station, cover up for its issues’, the BWSSB has clarified that the concerned engineer visited the spot the same evening and action had been taken to clear the overflow of sewage water near Cantonment Railway Station immediately.Kadirenahalli residents can cheerCity Express had published a report titled ‘Residents upset over ‘dirty’ underpass work’ on September 3 voicing the grievances faced by the residents in Kadirenahalli due to the deplorable condition of the underpass. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) stated that the assistant executive engineer had visited the spot and the sewage pipe had been replaced. The overflow too has been stopped by using a sewer                                              jetting machine.Queen-like againIn accordance with the report published by City Express on September 7 titled ‘Not upto the Queen’s mark’, regarding the hassles faced by commuters on Queen’s Road, according to the BWSSB, the area was inspected by the AEE and the damaged water pipe was replaced the same evening.Pipes replacedCity Express had published a report on September 6 titled ‘From the drain and to the streets’ regarding the state of affairs due to the damaged sewage pipes on the Nala Road and Kamaraj Road. The BWSSB stated that the area has been visited by the AEE  and the sewage pipe has been replaced and that overflow has been stopped by using a sewer jetting machine.
