The summer season is all set to arrive. The temperature is expected to reach new heights every year. During peak summers, it is quite difficult for children to go to school. As a result, the government orders all the public and private schools to have vacations, especially for the months of May and June. During these summer vacations, students get a lot of free time and can spend that time learning new skills. In order to promote the development of new skills and actively engage students’ time, there are many companies and clubs that organise summer camps. In these camps, students are taught new skills. One such summer camp has been getting quite famous in Mangaluru (Karnataka) for promoting Hindu mythology and teaching children Hindu culture.
According to reports, this exciting summer camp will be held by an organisation named Chinmaya Mission Mangaluru. Its aim is to promote knowledge of Hindu mythology of the Ramayana among young children during their summer vacations. This has come as a great opportunity for these children to learn about the religion and to gain in depth knowledge about the epic tale of the Ramayana. The summer camp is called the Balvihar Summer Class; children will be taught Balakanda, Ayodhya Kanda, Aranya Kanda, Kishkindha Kanda, Sundara Kanda, and Yuddha Kanda of the Ramayana.
Students will also have special sessions for the Bhagavad Gita with the Swamiji. Apart from that, stories will be told to the children about Lord Hanuman. There will also be special classes to teach stotras and mantras. The camp has been designed in such a way that all will be taught in a fun and unique way. The camp will also feature many games.
The summer camp will begin on April 7 and continue until April 16. This 10-day camp will be led by Swami Aparajitananda Saraswati from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It is for children in the age range of 5 to 14 years. The registrations have already started, and interested students can be part of them by paying a fee of Rs 1000.
