Hiding militants fired on the security forces triggering an encounter in which two militants were killed.
Three terrorists were killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Acting on specific information about the presence of terrorists in Putshai area of Lolab in the district, security forces cordoned off the area and began a search operation, an army official said.
As the search operation began, terrorists fired on the security forces triggering an encounter in which three terrorists were killed. The identity of the slain terrorists is yet to be ascertained. The operation is still underway and one more terrorist is reportedly trapped.
