About 10 to 15 cases from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu would be dealt with this month,” he added.Earlier, in his presidential address, Justice Karpagavinayagam stressed that the electricity regulatory commissions in the country should distance themselves from the Government.Governor K Rosaiah said, as consumers, whether it is industrial or domestic, we have an onerous responsibility to curtail wastage of electricity, and prevent wastage of electricity, through conscious consumption.Representatives from electricity regulatory commissions in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu also spoke on the occasion.first published:August 17, 2012, 08:29 ISTlast updated:August 17, 2012, 08:29 IST

Stating that the absence of a Chairperson for the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission has not affected its functioning, he said the process to identify the Chairperson is underway.
