New Delhi: Toshiba and Intel have joined hands to commercialise a tablet PC for educational use. The CM1 tablet PC will be launched in Japan early August.
The touchscreen tablet supports pen input that allows students to practice handwriting. The monitor can be rotated 180 degrees. The 1.8 kg CM1 also comes equipped with a handle to allow easy carrying.
The tablet is powered by a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor and runs on Windows 7. The 10.1-inch screen has a 1366x768 resolution. The CM1 has a 160GB hard disk drive and 2GB of RAM.
Other features include WiFi, rotatory webcam, stereo speakers, microphone and two USB ports.
