Two Arrested with Antler

KOCHI: The shadow wing of  the city police, led by SI Lijo Joseph and SI Sudhilal, have arrested two persons, Kabeer, 55 and Shaheer, 38, of Mattanchery, for possessing antler of a rare species, on Thursday. In a search conducted at the houses of the accused, the police also recovered 12 cylinders  of cooking gas and equipment used for transferring gas into small cylinders for retail selling. The police acted on a tip-off received by city police commissioner M R Ajith Kumar. The team which nabbed the duo also included Civil Police Officers Chandrababu, Faisal, Sunil, Vinod, Sudheer Babu, Sanu, Jins, Jayin, Naseer, Deepa and Sandhyamol.
