US military conducts airstrike against ISIS near Mosul Dam in Iraq

Washington: US military officials said that an airstrike against Islamic State militants in Iraq has damaged or destroyed 16 armed vehicles near the Mosul Dam.

In a statement on Tuesday evening from US Central Command, officials said an airstrike conducted on Monday in northern Iraq involved fighters and attack aircraft.

By Central Command's count, that's the 124th airstrike in Iraq since operations against the Islamic State group began in early August.
