BANGALORE: “Success in life depends on action, that is on what you do, and not what you feel or think, and the price of success is hard work,” quoted the vice-chancellor of VTU, Belgaum. He was addressing the 2011-12 batch students on the occasion of Fresher’s Day at Acharya Institute campus here at Soldevanahalli, Bangalore. He also said that VTU is starting an incubation centres in all its regional centres throughout the state providing the land, funds and all other encouragement for one year to the young and talented students, upcoming with the new ideas to start the companies and the industry, and also said that this is a ‘Knowledge era’ where there should be a more job providers than a job seekers where country can provide good and talented entrepreneur to the field of industry. Finally he urged teachers to be more passionate towards teaching and building the student’s career in a proper way. There was a stall setup by senior students of the entire department, so that freshers could interact with the department seniors and discuss issues and other activities personally. The event was followed by cultural programmes, songs, dance performances and skits by the students from various department of the college. BM Reddy, President, Acharya Institute and Dr H D Maheshappa, Principal AIT too were present.
