Whopping Rs 1 crore electricity bill to be paid by a family in UP's Kannauj district

Kannuaj: A family in Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh is running from pillar to post after they received an electricity bill of a whopping Rs 1 crore.

The family is baffled by the bill because the amount is not even close to their average monthly bill. They usually get a bill of Rs 1000-1500 every month.

The family had failed to pay their bill in August and in turn ended up receiving a bill of Rs 1 crore. They have approached the electricity board but the authorities are yet to respond.
