Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple at Vemulawada village of Sircilla district in Telangana is flocked by the devotees every day. Similar to others, Tautam Satish and Marupaka Ramesh from Hyderabad came to Vemulawada with their families to pay a visit to the shrine. However, never in their dream, did they think that their spiritual journey would conclude with a shocking event.
As they returned from their darshan, they found their clothes hanging on a stick burnt in the car park area near the Parvathipuram dormitory where they had stayed before taking darshan.
Due to this, the devotees are expressing their plight that the temple authorities did not give a proper response to their complaint and have been taking their matters lightly. While talking to Local18, the couple in the problem said that the devotees come here every day but no protective measures have been taken for their convenience. They wish to provide proper facilities and security to the devotees. Local 18 questioned the temple authorities to find the real culprit for the incidents. As per the locals, there is no security guard in the dormitory area. It is believed that the temple authorities are failing in the matter of the safety of the devotees.
It is alleged that despite the presence of CCTV cameras, the concerned staff officials did not respond to requests to take action against those responsible for this incident. The victim duo reportedly said that whoever committed this incident could be found by looking at the CCTV footage, but the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple authorities are not taking any action. The devotees have asked the police to arrange a special vigilance of senior police officers in the temple accommodation area.
Tautam Satish said that he does not understand why the authorities are neglecting to develop facilities even after earning crores.
